County Mayor Raises The Urgent Need For Investment In Cork Roads With the Transport Minister

Cllr Declan Hurley also reiterated the importance of upgrading the R586 between the key towns of Bandon and Bantry
The County Mayor and the Chief Executive of the County Council met the Transport Minister to discuss the urgent need for investment in Cork roads.
Cllr Declan Hurley raised the importance of transport infrastructure investment for Cork in order to fully realise the potential set in the Cork 2050 plan.
The plan, which is a joint strategy with Cork City and County Councils predicts that, with the right infrastructure in place, Cork is capable of creating up to 120,000 new jobs by the year 2050
