Courtmacsherry RNLI respond to call out off Old Head of Kinsale

The Courtmacsherry RNLI All Weather Lifeboat responded to was called out this afternoon to aid a 40 ft Sailing Sloop that was in trouble 8 miles off the Old Head of Kinsale in West Cork.
The Courtmacsherry Lifeboat launched immediately in response to the Mayday alert and reached the casuality shortly after 1pm with two persons on board.
The vessel had lost power in deteriorating conditions at sea and one of the crew person on board the Yacht was reported unwell also.
The Lifeboat has now succeeded in transferring its tow rope in difficult conditions to the casuality which was on passage from England to West Cork.
The Lifeboat had now taken the stricken vessel, which was on route from England to West Cork, to Kinsale.
