Creche Owners Are Quietly Suffering Due To A Lack Of Reform In The Childcare Sector

That's according to Gillian Powell who has decided to shut down her Haven Montessori creche in Bandon
Children's Minister Katherine Zappone announced a one-off €1,500 payment for creche owners last month, however some say they have not been paid the full amount and are calling for a 24 hour strike to highlight a lack of funding, low pay and increased levels of administration.
Discussions will be held tomorrow to decide a date for the day of action.
