Spider man not always the hero as child's Spider man scooter causes major blockage in Cobh waste water network
Crews from Irish Water and Cork County Council had to cast a wide net to get to the bottom of a blockage in Cobh last week
The blockage in the waste water network at Marine Gates, Carrignafoy was reported last Friday however the crew were unable to clear the tangled blockage until Saturday morning.
The cause of the blockage was eventually found to be a child's Spider-Man scooter which was causing the obstruction from a deep manhole downstream.
Irish Water says these types of items can cause significant damage to the network and treatment plants and are urging the public to dispose of their waste responsibly
