CUH Asking People To Explore All Available Options Before Attending Emergency Department
Management are warning of delays in ED waiting times due to an increased level of admissions over the past number of days.
CUH says patient care is paramount and the situation is being treated as a priority.
The public are being urged to contact their GP or SouthDoc, or attend a local injury unit at St Mary's in Gurranabraher, Bantry General or Mallow General.
45 people are waiting for a bed on trolleys at CUH today according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation's trolley watch figures.
