CUH Cancer Nurses to Stage Work To Rule

Nurses treating cancer patients at Cork University Hospital are staging a work to rule tomorrow.

Members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation on the Onconolgy/Radiotherapy ward say the action will start from 8am tomorrow morning.

The dispute centers around what the union describes as inadequate and unsafe nurse staffing levels on the ward.

Last December the INMO brought the understaffing issue to hospital management, but they claim that to date no extra staff have been recruited to the ward.
