CUH has highest expenditure for funerals for patients
HSE spent over €300,000 over the past three years on funeral expenses for patients
Some of those included people who were homeless before being admitted to hospital and had no known family.
According to The Journal, the biggest spender was Cork University Hospital accounting for 43% of the national spend last year.
