CUH most overcrowded hospital in the country today

The Overcrowding crisis at Cork University Hospital is continuing this week, with over 30 people waiting on admission at the Emergency Department today.
According to Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation the CUH is the most overcrowded in the country.
There are also 17 people receiving treatment on trolleys at the Mercy University Hospital.
The latest INMO figures show 397 people are on trolleys or in overflow wards across the country.
The issue of capacity and staffing is also a factor affecting overcrowding, as according to the INMO beds remain empty in wards as there are not enough nurses to staff them.
Speaking to RedFM news INMO's Mary Rose Carroll says the issue of understaffing affects all departments in the hospital:
