CUMH cancels Gynae clinics this week

Online classes are also cancelled until further notice
Statement by Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) – Issued Monday 17th May 2021, 4.30pm
The ongoing cyber-attack on the HSE’s IT system has resulted in considerable delays at Cork University Maternity Hospital and on the hospitals ability to deliver normal outpatient services.
This challenging situation is ongoing.
As a result, management CUMH wish to advise that Gynae Clinics have been cancelled for this week. Online classes are also cancelled until further notice.
The Emergency Department remains open and phone call bookings are going ahead.
Inductions of Labour, C-sections and Gynaecology Elective operations and antenatal, physiotherapy and Neonatology outpatient appointments are going ahead this week, but delays are likely as a result of the current IT situation.
Hospital management apologises for the inconvenience but wish to reassure the public that patients at CUMH are receiving appropriate care.
Further status updates will be issued in due course.
