Cystic fibrosis sufferers in a better position today than 20 years ago

A new report shows people with cystic fibrosis are now more likely to have a job, be in a relationship and live longer.
Cystic Fibrosis Ireland did a survey of what life was like for those with the condition in 1998 - and completed a similar survey last year.
No adults with CF were expected to be in employment in 1998 - but 54 per cent were working last year.
87 per cent of adults surveyed 20 years ago were single, compared to 39 per cent in the most recent study.
CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, Philip Watt, says sufferers are now more likely to have kids too.
