Damage to defibrillator in city centre described as "mindless vandalism"

That's how the Cork City Centre Defibrillator Project Leader Martin Whally has described the damage to the defibrillator cabinet on Oliver Plunkett Street over the weekend
This is the seventh time the cabinet housing the life saving equipment which is stored at the back of Penneys, has been vandalised.
The Defbrillator will now be stored inside Pennys, however it is not accessable when the shop is closed.
Gardai are currently examining CCTV footage of the incident, and say they are making progress in identifying those involved.
Speaking to RedFM News Martin Whally from the Cork Lions Club says the continuing damage to the units is extremely frustrating.
