Dangers Of Synthetic Drugs Highlighted At Inquest Of Cork Teenager

The dangers of synthetic drugs were highlighted at the inquest of a Cork teen yesterday.
Gardai revealed that rat poison, ajax, cement and piano wire cleaner are some of the ingredients found in these drugs.
The information came to light at the inquest of 18 year old Alex Ryan who died after taking the synthetic drug NBomb at a house party in Cork in January last year
Gardai say MDMA tablets and other synthetic drugs were often bulked up by other agents and it was impossible for people to know exactly what they were taking as there is no quality control on such street drugs.
The inquest returned a verdict of death by misadventure.
Speaking to RedFM News Alex's sister Nicole Ryan says education is the key to raise awareness about the threat of synthetic drugs:
