Deal Reached on Croke Park Extension Talks

A proposed deal has been reached at the Croke Park extension talks. The Labour Relations Commission-brokered document will see pay cuts for public sector workers earning over €65,000, a longer working week, a freeze on increments and cuts to premium payments. The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin said that the deal achieves the €1 billion target for cuts set out by the Government. Whilst the unions say it's the best of a difficult lot.
