Debenhams Workers 'Ready And Willing' To Protest For Another 100 Days For Better Deal

That's according to former Shop Steward at the Patrick's Street Debenhams branch Valerie Conlon
She was speaking ahead of the national rallies which are taking place across the country later today.
Today marks 100 days of protests, after Debenhams announced its decision to close in April due to financial pressures brought on by Covid-19.
Over 300 jobs were lost at the two Cork branches on Patrick's Street and at Mahon Point Shopping Centre, with workers now campaigning for 4 weeks pay per year of service as opposed to the basic 2 week statutory minimum.
Today's protests will take place across Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Kerry, and Galway, and will get underway at 2pm.
Speaking to RedFM News ahead of today's rally in Cork, Valerie Conlon says she hopes today's protests will make Debenhams and the Government take note and help them:
