Deciding On A Preferred Route For A Light Rail System In Cork Will Take 20 Months
A contract for the project has been awarded
The National Transport Authority's awarded a contract to Jacobs Engineering Ireland to examine routes and work on the initial design phase.
It's proposed to run the line from Ballincollig to Mahon Point.
CEO of the NTA , Anne Graham says although funding isn't in place yet, yesterday's announcement show's their committment to public transport in the city:
