Decision on student accommodation proposed at the Lough deferred

The controversial 324 bed student apartment complex has been postponed until July.

Residents from The Lough formed a group to oppose the proposed development in the area as they claimed that it was out of place.

Lyonshall Developments is seeking to build 49 apartments with five blocks of varying heights.

Locals have raised their concerns around the increased risk of anti social behaviour, traffic and the impact on infrastructure.

An Bord Pleanala's decision on the Lough Development has now been deferred until July 13th.
