The HSE says they have put a number of measures in place to tackle the issue.
Concern has been expressed over the delay in assessment of babies suspected of having a disability Leeside.
Under the Disability Act 2005, if a parent believes that their child may have a disability the assessment of the child is to be carried out within three months.
