Minister Simon Coveney says he hopes this visible progress will instil confidence about the €50 million facility
Demolition work has begun on Cork's planned Events Centre after months of speculation about the future of the development.
Concerns had been expressed that no work had taken place on the project following a sod-turning event by the Taoiseach last February.
However parts of the old building on the Beamish & Crawford site are now being dismantled after workers moved in on site yesterday.
It's not yet known when construction work will start however speaking to RedFM News Housing Minister Simon Coveney says he hopes this visible progress will instil confidence about the €50 million facility:
