Demonstration held outside the office of the Minister for State

It has been organised by two anti-water charges groups.
A demonstration is taking place outside the office of the Minister for State Dara Murphy in the city this evening.
Organised by two anti-water charges groups - the Anti Austerity Alliance and People Before Profit - the rally aims to highlight two new bills which they say are being 'rushed' through the Dáil by the coalition government.
The first bill includes amendments such as the payment of water bills being part of a tenancy agreement - and people selling their home required to show proof they have paid water bills.
While the second will allow people who mount up 500 euro in unpaid charges be taken to court - so the money can be deducted from wages, welfare or pensions.
Speaking to RedFM News, Jim Connell from People Before Profit in Cork says these measures are 'scare tactics':
