Demonstration To be Held In Blackpool This Evening Calling For The Reversal Of The Decision To Close A Local Nursing Home

Mount Cara House on Redemption Road is set to close after 30 years due to challenges posed by Covid-19
A demonstration is to be held this evening in Blackpool calling for a reversal of the decision to close a nursing home in the area
Mount Cara House on Redemption Road has capacity for 25 residents and is set to close after 30 years due to challenges posed by Covid-19
It's led to calls for the HSE to intervene amid fears for the future of residents and staff.
Last week staff and families held a press conference where they outlined their objections to the planned closure.
Majella Lynch has worked in the nursing home for the past four years and she told RedFM News staff cannot understand the reasoning behind the closure
