Department of Housing to investigate "Rent Inequality" in pressure zones across Cork

The Department of Housing is investigating what has been branded 'rent inequality' in the designation of rent pressure zones in Cork.
Towns such as Carrigaline and Ballincollig are separated into two municipal district boundaries and as a result not all landlords are obliged to abide by the rent increase of 4% per year.
Housing Minister Simon Coveney has previously said that he doesn't have the remit to apply the rent cap to all of Carrigaline however pressure is mounting on the government to address the anomoly.
Speaking to RedFM News Niall Horgan of Threshold says they have been fielding calls about the issue:
