Detectives Question Man After PSNI Officer Shot

Detectives in Belfast are questioning a 36 year old man, after a PSNI officer was shot and wounded last night.

He is now in a stable condition in hospital after being treated for an arm injury.

Officers are treating it as attempted murder, and say their main line of enquiry is dissident republicans.

Assistant Chief Constable Mark Hamilton is describing the attack as 'reckless madness'.
