Director of Omniplex calls for Taoiseach to reopen cinemas

He says cinema operators are at breaking point and urgently need a date for re-opening if they are to survive
That's according to Mark Anderson, Director of Omniplex Cinemas who is calling on the Taoiseach to allow them to re-open.
Omniplex cinemas employ over 2000 people in Ireland, however Mark says many staff have been forced to look for employment elsewhere.
Cinema attendance in Ireland is among the highest in Europe.
Speaking to RedFM news, the director of Omniplex Cinemas says they can't provide job security until the government respond:
"A lot of those people have moved to other industries that are that are open and cinema, until we get a reopening they can provide no assurances to staff, if we're trying to recruit and attract those staff back to the cinema industry. At the moment we just can't provide or other in a position to provide any job security because the government are keeping us in the dark in relation to query will be allowed to reopen."
