Doctors strike "inevitable"

The Irish Medical Organisation is warning that strike action by junior doctors is now 'inevitable'. It's after meetings with the HSE yesterday evening failed to yield any results and a ballot on industrial action is due to be completed by Monday. The IMO says patient safety is being put at risk by doctors working up to 100 hours per week, far in excess of the 48 hour legal limit.
