Double win for education in Cork

Two education institutions Leeside have scooped the top title in their category.
It's a double win for education in Cork today as two third level institutions have scooped national titles.
University College Cork has set a new record by being named The Sunday Times University of the Year for a fourth time.
Some of the reasons cited for being named in the top spot include the college's ability to generate research income and it has the best progression rate for undergraduate students from first to second year in the country.
In the second win Leeside, Cork Institute of Technology has been named as The Sunday Times Institute of Technology of the Year.
It is the first time in 14 years that Dublin IT has not finished top of the Sunday Times rankings for Institutes of Technology.
Speaking to RedFM News, CIT's Vice President for External Affairs Orla Flynn outlines some of the reasons why they there named at the top.
