Drinking and smoking linked to mouth cancer
Men who smoke and drink are more susceptible to Mouth Cancer. That's according to the Irish Dental Association who'll be offering free check-ups at over 600 dental surgeries around the country today to mark National Awareness Day. 300 cases of mouth cancer are detected in Ireland each year, with on average 100 deaths, but survival rates are up to 85 per cent better if it's caught early.
