Drug Addiction Service Encourages Festival Goers to Seek Medical Help at Electric Picnic If Needed

The Ana Liffey Drug Project helped 71 people at last September's festival

An addiction service says no one should be afraid to seek medical help if they've taken substances at Electric Picnic.

The Ana Liffey Drug Project is increasing the number of volunteers at this year's festival in County Laois, after it helped 71 people at last September's festival.

The group says it doesn't promote substance abuse and denies allegations its service is enabling drug use.

Head of Services, Dawn Russell, says the 'just say no' approach simply doesn't work.
