Dublin Couple Who Ended Pregnancy After Being Wrongly Advised Their Unborn Child Had Fatal Foetal Abnormality Settle Case Out Of Court

Rebecca Price and Patrick Kiely sued the National Maternity Hospital, the five consultants who own the Merrion-Fetal-Health-Clinic in Dublin, and a lab in Glasgow

Liability was admitted by the defendants yesterday and a settlement was reached this evening following extensive negotiations behind the scenes.

Afterwards, their solicitor, Caoimhe Haughey, said the couple wanted to meet with Stephen Donnelly to protect others from the pain that they are suffering:

"Christopher as we all now know, was a normal, healthy baby boy. It has taken two years, three months and nine days to get to this point for this couple, and their son. Christopher's voice has finally been heard and vindicated arising from the full admission of liability, on the part of the Marion Foetal Health Clinic, and the National Maternity Hospital."
