Duke Of Kent To Visit Cork Today
The Duke of Kent is to visit a number of RNLI stations across Cork today as part of a two day tour.
The Duke, who is the Queen's cousin, has been patron of the RNLI for over 50 years, has already visited a number of lifeboat stations in counties Tipperary, Clare and Kerry
The Duke's helicopter was spotted landing at the GAA pitch in Kinsale last evening, where he's expected to visit staff at the town's RNLI station later today
The RNLI has had a presence in Ireland since 1824 when its first station was opened in Arklow, there are 7 RNLI stations across Cork and the Duke is expected to visit a number of them today as part of his tour
