€10,000 worth of heroin seized Leeside
The seizure took place at around 4pm yesterday at Hazelwood shopping centre in Glanmire.
Gardai from Mayfield made the seizure after they confronted two occupants of a car who were said to be acting suspiciously.
They searched the car where they 70 grams of heroin with an approixmate street value of €10,000.
They arrested the owner of the car, a 23 year old man at the scene who is believed to be a forgein national.
He's being detained at Mayfield Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act.
