€400 Water Charges?
Hard pressed homeowners could be hit with annual water charges of up to €400. That's according to the Bord Gáis Chief Executive, who's been charged with setting up Irish Water. He says average bills across Europe fall between €100 and €400. His comments come aimd speculation that we might be hit with flat rate water charges, since the government won't be able to install meters in all households by the 2014 date the Troika has suggested.
