Economic Recovery Not Felt By Members Of the Defence Forces

Members of the Defence Forces across Cork are not feeling the benefit of the recovering economy.
That's according to a group representing the Wives and Partners of serving members who say one in five families rely on social welfare payments just to make ends meet.
It comes as the WPDF say the numbers left in the permanent Defence Force continues to fall because of poor working conditions and low rates of pay.
Yesterday a report by Goodbody's stockbrokers showed Ireland's lost decade had come to an end, and the country was moving out of recession.
However Shelley Cotter from the WPDF told RedFM News that members of the Defence Forces are being left behind:
