Education Is Key In The Fight Against The Pressures Being Generated By Social Media

That's according to a West Cork based suicide prevention charity

The charity say they've recorded an increase in teenagers using their service, many of whom say they're finding it difficult to cope with the pressure of social media.

According to a recent survey up to 43% of young people relate difficulties in their lives directly to social media.

Speaking to RedFM News Manager of Lisheens House Mick Keirns says teenagers often model themselves on people they see on social media and the only way to manage this is through education and discussion:
