Education stakeholders to meet today to discuss what will be done with the Leaving Cert

The Government's expected to make a decision on the options for the exams after Tuesday's cabinet meeting.
Unions, student and parent groups along with Department of Education officials are meeting.
Teachers Union of Ireland General Secretary, Michael Gillespie says his union wants the Leaving Cert to go ahead:
"The TUI is still calling for a Leaving Cert we still think the Leaving Cert is capable of being held, in all its forms. We put a high priority on the second component of assessments, that's the practicals, the project work, the orals because they test different skills and knowledge, and it's very important that whatever happens and they're all built in."
