Effects of additional cruise liners already being felt in East Cork town

Traders in Cobh say the effects of increased numbers of cruise liners arriving in the town are already being felt.
The Port expects to welcome a record 188,000 passengers and 80,000 crew this year alone with 94 cruise liners booked to dock in the East Cork town.

The average spend of a passenger coming a shore is estimated at €81 and it's hoped the local economy in Cobh and the wider Cork region will benefit.
Speaking to RedFM News Director of Cobh's Titanic Experience Sonia Joyce says the tourist season has kicked off in full force in the last couple of weeks:
