Efforts continue to get Cork back on the grid amid latest weather warnings

ESB networks say they won't stop working despite the rainfall warning in place in Cork today. 

Met Éireann has issued two separate weather warnings as the country prepares for another storm.

A status yellow rain warning has been issued for today with as much as 50 millimetres expected in the south and east.

While the country is being warned to prepare for dangerous winds with storm Brian expected to hit tomorrow.

The ESB say they do expect the conditions to slow them down. 

37,000 remain off the grid across the city and county, 5,000 of those are in the city, 7,000 are in North and East Cork and the remainder are in West Cork.

Speaking to RedFM News this morning Denis Cambridge of ESB Networks says they'll continue to work through rain but wind could pose a problem:
