Efforts Continuing To Free A Man Trapped After The Collapse Of A Trench In Coachford

The man was working on a deep excavation on a farm site when the accident happened
Emergency services are continuing in their efforts to try and save a man who became trapped after a trench collapsed in Coachford
Firefighters from Macroom and Ballincollig have been in attendance at the scene since 10.10 this morning
The Health and Safety Authority have confirmed to RedFM News that the man was working on a deep excavation on a farm site when the sides collapsed and he was trapped underneath
The accident is being treated as serious but there is no word yet on the man's condition
The Health and Safety Authority is sending personel to the scene so an investigation into the accident can be conducted
