Eli Lilly to progress with €200m investment at Kinsale plant

Eli Lilly is to go ahead with a €200 million investment at it's manufacturing plant in Kinsale.

Senior management in Ireland were informed in recent days that Eli Lilly's global board has rubber stamped the project..

The news is being broadly welcomed as earlier this year it was feared that the investment may not go ahead due to US President Donald Trump's 'America First' policy..

500 people are already employed in the Kinsale plant and once completed this new project will create hundreds of new jobs .
