Emergency Meeting In The Lough To Discuss Revised Plans To Proposed Development

Residents from the Lough are holding an emergency meeting this evening to voice their continued opposition to a proposed 350 bed development.
It follows the release of revised plans by Lyonshall Developments which the "Save the Lough from Highrise Group" say does noting to allay fears of residents on the social impact of the building on the area.
Local say issues such as increased risk of anti social behaviour, increased traffic and the impact on infrastructure have not been addressed and these remain the main basis for objections.
Last May over 200 residents took part in a march around the Lough in protest of the development, claiming it would have a negative impact on the area.
Speaking to RedFM news Save the Lough From Highrise Group's Billy O'Connor says locals are not backing down from this:
