Emergency Services Respond To Housefire On City's Outskirts Overnight

The blaze broke out at Lappin's Place, Little Island

Emergency services responded to a housefire on the city's outskirts overnight.

The alarm for the blaze at Lappin's Place, Little Island was raised at around half past 11 last night and 2 fire units from Anglesea st fire station responded to the call out, along with one unit from Cobh. 

- Gardai and an ambulance crew were also on scene.

A number of people were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

It took crews just 45 minutes to get the blaze under control to be back at base by 12.15am
