EPIC open Advocacy service in Cork for children in care

The HSE South region has the highest number of children in state care - at 1,953. A new advocacy service for children in care and care leavers has opened in Cork city by the group EPIC. It will provide life skills and expertise for those in need. Epic has been operating in Dublin since 2006 and funding was granted last year to extend the service nationwide. There are now two workers here in Cork and more information can be found on www.epiconline.ie Dawn Ryan first contacted EPIC when she was 18.
