'Equality for Children' Group Say LGBTQ+ Families Still Not Equal Despite Marriage Equality

It's six years today since people voted yes to marriage equality
The 'Equality for Children' group says there is a misconception that the referendum brought equality.
CEO Ranae von Meding says, in the eyes of the law, one parent is still left out of decisions:
"In the majority of LGBTQ+ families, only one parent is seen as a legal parent to their child, and the other is essentially a legal stranger, which causes all sorts of practical issues such as a parents not been able to provide medical consent for their child, not being able to give any sort of consent, not being able to pass down citizenship to their child."
