EU Official calls for Cork to Boston flights to go ahead

Plans arise to offer low cost transatlantic flights from Cork to Boston
A High Level European Union official has called for the Cork - Boston route to go ahead.
Henrik Hololei, Head of the EU Transport Directorate,said Norwegian Air International's plan to offer low cost transatlantic flights, was exactly the type of service that the Open Skies Agreement is supposed to create.
There has been fierce opposition to plans by NAI to launch the Cork Service, amid fears that the airline will use cheap labour from Asia.
The airline have denied this saying they will only employ European and US staff, who are subject to labour laws of their own jurisdiction.
It's hoped that this intervention will see the Cork to Boston flight finally get off the ground.
Speaking to RedFM news Cork TD Dara Murphy says the delay is frustrating as the decision remains with the United States:
