European Consumer Organisation calls for TikTock to review policies

It's after aggressive advertising and hidden marketing targeted at children were alerted
Contractual terms in TikTok's policies that could be considered misleading and confusing for consumers were also included in the alert raised by the European Consumer Organisation.
The European Commission and the network of national consumer authorities have launched a formal dialogue with TikTok to review its commercial practices and policy after the breaches of EU consumer rights.
Speaking to RedFM news, MEP Deirdre Clune says a company such as TikTok should be aware of the rules in place:
"We have strong consumer protection laws in the European Union, particularly when it comes to children, and practices such as hidden marketing and aggressive advertising towards minors are banned. And companies such as TikTok providing digital services to European consumers should be well aware of these rules, It's good to see that they've been called to account for themselves now following these reports."
