Ex-Politician Quizzed Over Alleged Murder Plot
A former politician is being questioned by gardai in Cork after he allegedly hired a hitman to kill three people involved in an investigation into his financial affairs. The man was arrested yesterday morning by detectives at around 9am at his home outside Cork city on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. The man was brought to Gurranebraher Garda Station where he's being questioned about an alleged plot to kill a garda, a revenue official and an accountant in Cork.
