"Extreme Disappointment"
That's how some Skibbereen residents have described the decision by An Bord Pleanála to approve a plastics factory in the town
Campaigners who are fighting the facility say they fear it will damage tourism in the area and threaten the green image of West Cork which is a key part of the Wild Atlantic Way tourism trail.
Just seen a copy of An Bord Pleanála’s letter to a resident who lodged an appeal to a planned plastics factory in Skibbereen. It says the inspector recommended refusal of planning but An Bord Pleanála still gave it the green light.More @RedFMNews @CorksRedFM at 1 @SOSkibbereen pic.twitter.com/6MDzvLOTQY
