FAI Did Not Sufficiently Explain Reasons Behind €100,000 Loan From John Delaney To The Organisation

Sport Ireland says the FAI ''did not sufficiently explain'' the reasons behind a €100,000 bridging loan from the Football Association's former Chief Executive, John Delaney, to the organisation.
Members of Sport Ireland are due before the Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport this afternoon.
Sport Ireland says it has written to the FAI twice to seek clarification about the reasons for John Delaney's bridging loan and why the organisation needed it.
To date, the FAI has only responded to one of those requests for further information.
Committee member, Independent TD, Catherine Murphy, says she'll be asking if Sport Ireland can sanction the FAI.
