Family of Ciara O'Brien are hopeful of recovery following fall.

The family of a teenager who suffered severe spinal injuries in a fall in Kinsale last week say they are hopeful after she underwent back surgery

18 year old Ciara O’Brien, had just completed her Leaving Certificate at Kinsale Community College, and was attending a party at The Moorings nightclub, where she worked, when the tragedy occurred.

She fell off a flat roof at the side of the building and landed on concrete and broke her back in the fall... 

Ciara's spinal cord was damaged and doctors at the Mater Hospital in Dublin have inserted pins and plates in her back and are hoping that with time she will recover but at the moment she is heavily medicated and tires easily..
