Fatal Crash in West Cork

Gardai are investigating a fatal crash in West Cork in the early hours of Sunday morning. A 32 year old woman was killed in the incident which occurred at Manch Middle in Ballineen. The mother of one - died after the car in which she was a front-seat passenger crashed at 2am yesterday. The car hit a telegraph pole at a notorious accident blackspot in the area. The driver and only other occupant, a man in his 30s from Kinsale,was removed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
