Fears expressed that prostitues in the city aren't reporting assult
It follows reports that sex workers have been assaulted in the past month.
Three prostitutes have been sexually assaulted in Cork in the past month.
The attacks, are among seven which have been highlighted on an online network for sex workers to highlight incidents against prostitutes..
The network has 24 criminal incidents against prostitutes recorded for the first four months of this year but none of these cases have been reported to the Gardaí.
Prostitutes rarely report such incidents to gardaí out of fear that they will not be taken seriously.
Last week a 34 year old Lithuanian man was sentenced for the false imprisonment and robbery of a prostitute who was working alone from a room in the Metrpoloe Hotel in Cork City
